Burger Review 2/7
Johnny Rockets-Milwaukee Airport
Bacon Cheeseburger (no tomato or onion)
I have always been an avid fan of the Johnny Rockets burger. I vividly remember devouring my first cheeseburger in the Great America theme part in Gurnee, IL. The experience was eye opening. I didn’t want it to end. The JR bacon cheeseburger is slightly greasy, but that just ads to the flavor. JR has dominated the fast food industry for some time now, and it is quite apparent why. Within the confines of the kitchen, you can see sparkling silver grill and fryer equipment. The employees take a lot of care into the craft of grilling their cheeseburgers. When going to JR, I highly recommend getting a milkshake. Although it doesn’t come with the burger. Fries are also highly recommended. If your feeling dicey, dip the fries into the shake for a whirlwind of taste bud explosion.
I would classify the burger as slightly above par. I am a big fan of the flavor that comes with biting into a JR bacon cheeseburger. It reminds me a lot of the famous burger that comes of the In-N-Out burger that has captured the heart of the West. Each JR burger contains “special sauce,” however, it takes extremely acute taste buds to decipher the taste. The bun takes a lot of the blow of the taste, which is something that doesn’t appeal to me. On the upside, the burger is cooked medium with minimal chew to it. Overall, it’s an above average burger with a rating of 7.2/10.
